Breaks & discs upgrade for S3 2001 model

I have had my 2001 model S3 for 2 months. It has the standard discs and breaks on it, which to be honest aren't the best I have come across.
Any suggestions on upgrades? Something better that wont break the bank.

Ferodo DS2500 pads are go to get. any disks are good to get. There's a brake thread in the stickies so have a lil read!

Have a look at the "Definitive brake guide" thread in the FAQ/stickies at the top of the page.

Are you thinking about just upgrading the discs, pads, and fluid, or the calipers?

Cosworth have started to make pads for the S3, may be worth a butchers
