Breaking S3's?

Hi all, not really something I want to do, but just to see who else has broken an s3 lately? I really fancy building a MK2 Golf 1.8t and the engine would be perfect from the S3 as fully rebuilt etc, and whilst isn't particularly bad condition by any means has done 140k plus! Have you ended up with lots of bits not purchased?

if I were you I'd go to the classifieds and find previous people that have broken their S3s and send them a message to see how much they were left with
