Esp/abs problem?? Vagcom help falkirk/stirling area

Could anyone shed some light on my problem? Coming home from work tonight and both my esp and abs lights cone on, if i turn it off and back on they go away for a couple of minutes then come back on. Its a 2001 s3. Thanks in advance

Could be an ABS sensor, steering sensor or any other sensor connected with ESP and ABS... you need to scan for faults first...

I would put my money on it being a wheel speed sensor, no point guessing which one though, VagCom would really help. If the lights aren't on when stationary from start up, but then coem on after say 20kmh (12mph) its more than likely a wheel speed sensor. If vag com doesnt show a fault code which it will but just in case, go in to measured blocks. Can't remember off top of head what channel number it is, I'm sure someone on here will know.

I'm not to far from Falkirk and have vagcom on my laptop. I'm going to my lock up tomorrow to fit a new scuttle panel and some breather hoses if your free pop over and I'll scan it for you.
