Red Emblems on Audi

This has been on my mind a while now, and im sure i'll get the answer.

As by my avatar, you can see the Red edging on the "T"

I have also seen the whole "T" in red. These badges are standard.

Is it fair to say it's because the car has S-Line parts eg. Mine has the S3 fuel pump.....

It means that the guy who was playing lucky dip with the badges on the day picked ip a red one.

Not true Tuffty, sorry to say. ALL UK 1.8T's were Sports and the engine wasn't available in any other model other than Sport (as you know). It was literally just pot luck what car what got what badge, there are pre and post facelift versions of all 1.8T's with all different badges. I have even seen red and silver badges with the same part no!

Roids have been killing me lately, I have been upping my training and keeping the same dosage to try and wean me off them. I feel like a drug addict lol!

As said in that thread though, from the late 90's on Audi service departments and PDI were in charge of badging their cars. There is NO consistancy AT ALL with the badging, and as you can tell by the lack of reply from the main man in that thread...it means nothing Sorry if I am grumpy!

It's all VW's fault - trying to distinguish oil burners with different BHP when they were all 1.9 TDi's.

Can remember my dad's old Passat had a red i to signify it had 110bhp rather than the 90bhp for the all silver badging. But then they moved to 100bhp and 130bhp so they added more red letters. Sigh....
