    Replacing haldex earth question!?!?

    Just started to replace the earth strap from haldex to body, just wondering...the bolt that holds the earth into the diff housing. Once removed will oil come out? As it looks like its one of the many bolts that holds the outer casing on?

    Mate just try it, if oil starts coming out just tighten it back up lol.

    Is not just a bolt around the drive shaft flange? I very much doubt and oil will come out, and even if it did it can only be a tiny bit as you are only whipping the bolt out and then putting it back in are you not.

    All done now anyway dude cheers though. Nah nothing came out, apart from a bit a crap that fell in my eye. Then twa**ed my head on exhaust clamp. Haha.

    Ah mate there was so much crap that fell in my eyes when I was doing this and when I replaced the haldex controller! It must of cost me about an hour just cleaning my eyes!

    I bought the insulated version... has gold plated connectors and similar price (although I did buy one that was probaly too long...)

    Yeah mine was snapped in half at the body end. Rest of it was really brittle too tbh.

    One I brought was perfect length. Don't think that really matters though. Long as it doesn't sag and rub on rear driveshaft

    Yep, done that too. Bloody painful given my lack of hair on top! Anyway, good thread, I'll add this to my list of jobs for when the sun comes out again (assuming it still exists).
