Im hoping someone has come across this before, it all seems to have started because of the cold weather (anything under 3 degrees).
My ESP fault light has been on for about 2 months since removing some tape stuck in the dash, having had it diagnosed it was found i had the N247 fault which meant new servo as the pressure deeley inside wasn't working right and thus the ESP wasn't fully functional, so i bought a 2nd hand servo.
I had got used to starting the car up and seeing the ESP light reminding me i needed to get it done, until one day i started it up with about 2-3 degrees outside temperature and the light came on with the ignition then went off when the car was started, didn't think much of it as its done it before and my hopes had been raised then seconds later it'd be back on. BUT now unless the temperature goes over about 3-4 degrees outside the ESP fault light doesn't come on once the car is started (even the ESP switch works as audi intended!) and with it being cold every day now and barely touching 1-2 degrees outside its back to its normal working self, there have been days where its gotten a bit warmer past 3 sometimes 4, 5 or 6 degrees and the lights come back on and obviously the switch is back to its useless self.
Im scratching my head trying to work out why the servo would be better in the cold or even wondering if the brake fluid could do with changing as the water which will have build up in the fluid has frozen or something and is pushing the ESP pressure switch inside forcing it to work (its the only theory i could come up with).
Anyone? Please :D
