About LinkBacksover the weekend I'm doing an Oil and filter change on the GF's car, can anyone tell me the location of the filter..i would go and check but she lives 80miles away and is it easily accessible from top of the bay?

You can do it from the top, but it's a pain in the arse.
Much better to whip the undertray off and do it from underneith, it's located on the front of the engine slightly to the right. If you can't find it you shouldn't be doing the job haha!

Front of the engine bay under the inlet manifold..., unscrew from underneath...
