No such thing as a 'quick bolt on ugrade' when it comes to turbos...

Anything from a hybrid upwards requires additional hardware changes and custom mapping... hybrids would require all the normal stage 2 prerequisists (3" downpipe, decent FMIC etc) plus injector change and ideally rods plus would then need custom mapping...

Not to mention WMI for improved reliability and potential power gains..

Bigger turbos require even more work...

No need to go mental as such but if you have no mods whatsoever to start with then anything other than a std replacement turbo it will be expensive

    I could not agree more.

Experiencing this process as we speak having been modding it for about 2 years in advance of the bigger turbo.

Stage 3 hybrid this week following lots of other works including tip, fmic and full steel exhaust/downpipe to realise the benefits of a bigger turbo also equated to the requirement of a free flowing mani, Rods, uprated fuel, injectors, sparks, another custom remap and labour costs.

I guess it depends on how much you want out of it though. You could buy and restrict power output to sensible levels.

Don't let it out you off, just be aware of potential cost and work involved.

More power will also need better braking too and consider insurance.

    Good luck

    I went for a turbodynamics k04 stage 3 hybrid.

It was about £300 more than standard k04 from same supplier.

Now get ready to spend a lot more than £300 on injectors, rods, FMIC, labour, and bespoke map (at least)
