Will an 8p headunit fit an 8l??

As the title suggests really, I'm looking at changing the symphony headunit in my 8l s3 with a concert headunit out of a recent 8p. Its a double din, so physically it'll fit, but not sure if the connections will be the same or if it will be compatible with my Bose amp/speakers.
Had enough of looking at a tape slot I'll never use, and the concert has ipod capability according to the blurb.

If you want to fit a replacement double din unit you need one from an A4. Plenty of threads already on here about it, just search for RNSE. The unit from an 8P has rounded top corners and won't fit as well as the A4 unit.
