I like that too, it looks like the collector design will be stronger than most I have seen. Looks less prone to cracking around the collector.

I have just worked out the price...How much?! :s

Any Idea on price? I spoke to a company, turbo Thomas, and sent them a design not that different to that one. 4-2-1 and it was going to cost £500! Which made it inpractical really.

Seems like the 1.8T tuning scene is picking up again. Probably due to the fact you can get a full engine now for peanuts.

Looks simpler because its not an equal length manifold surely? Not sure what difference it would make but still good to see more appearing.

And people are still using them in all sorts of applications. Minis, elises still and now an RX8 is being fitted with one on the ford forum.

    I can't see the point in a 1.8t RX8, have you got a link?

He`s done it because you can pick up an rx8 for around a grand because the engines have failed due to being pap! 1.8t for 500-1000 and then the rest to make it fit.

His wife wanted one i think and he saw an opportunity in all these bargain RX8`s with knackered engines and wanted something that made reliable reasonable power which are cheap. Oh and think he`s using the 6 speed Mazda box using a custom adaptor plate.

I saw this a while back on passion ford, will be interesting to see how the box holds up with extra torque

Apparently the older 5 speeds were pap but the 6 speeds in america are holding out fine with big power turbo builds on the drift cars and stuff.

i know the xs power one is proven. but i've always wondered if there could be a better designed because its runners are so long and all over the place.

looking at this one though and even though the runners are shorter and simpler, going into 1 before the collector cant be a good thing, imagine how hot that runner will get!!! jeeesus.
