Car wont start - Help?

Hi all,

My 97 Audi A3 1.6 wont start, the engine is cranking which means the starter motor and battery are good. I think it's the immobiliser, could an immobiliser cause this problem and how can I solve it?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

If its the immobilizer it starts but then cuts out...
Scan it for codes first then you'll have a better idea

Looking fuel or ignition related tbh. Are any unusual lights on the dash on?

Thanks for the replies. I disconnected the battery for a while, connected it again and the car starts. If I then try and start it the next day the car wont start again. Any ideas?

Turned out to be the fuel pump relay under the dash.

New relay and it starts everytime.
