Shuddering Idle - 1997 A3 1.6

Hi all,

My car has started to shudder when idle, the shuddering is on and off. My car is a 1.6 1997 Audi A3 with 110,000 miles on the clock.

Any ideas?

my s3 seems to be doing the same thing its lumpy on idle my friend said it may be worth taking the throttlebody off and giving it a clean see where you get with this?
