What with the cold snaps we have been having (albeit sporadic) and the cold weather to come (i presume there will be), i have been a little concerned that my engine barely has time to get up to temperature before i get to work (only 5 miles).
When i was in halfords picking up some consumables the other day i saw some engine oil additives that claim to reduce friction especially for cold starts.......magnatec style properties i presume.
Does anyone have any opinion on these? Good? Bad?
Names i saw were Molyslip engine protector, Extralube ZX1 and Slick 50...........links below to halfords web pages for these.
If there is anything i can do to help protect the engine for such short journeys it must be a benefit surely?...........any input would be appreciated!:
Halfords | Molyslip Engine Protector 325ml
Halfords | Extralube ZX1 Micro Oil Treatment
Halfords | Slick 50 High Performance Synthetic Engine Treatment 750ml
