oil leak from top of engine on the right hand side

hi all i seem to have an oil leak from the top right hand side looks loke its might be the rocker cover or the breather system . Im just wondering if theis is a comon problem

if you have vvt on yours, common to weap past the 1/2 moon gasket

its a 2000 s3 amk i think

as said then I would guess.
smoke test will confirm it as would cleaning it off with gunk and watching where it springs from

mine lost 1L of oil in 1000 miles through the chain tensioner gasket, replaced it and its been perfect ever since, havent needed to top it up since
