Hi.
Been getting a random missfire for the last few weeks, can come and go whenever it feels like it (hot, cold, under load or just ideling)
Had the audi recall done on the coilpacks a little while ago also fitted new plugs.
Today i thought to check the coil wiring loom.

I found every connector had bare wires near the plug.. And again an inch or so away from the plug.

Just wondering how far back the breaks in the outer sheath go?.

Also i hear Audi do a repair loom?.. Is this true?. does anyone have the partnumber?.

I spliced into the loom

I was going to take it all the way back to the ECU i decided not to due to time

Exellent, I was looking at it earlier thinking its a bit fiddley to renew that whole loom.

Is there 20 wires to solder, (4 per coil, 2 earth, and 2 for the n249) or are some of the wires shared?
Where is the "preferred place" to splice into?

about 20 wires yes

cut the loom back as its needed
