Hi Guys, I'm new on here, so go easy if this has been mentioned before, I certainly can't find it if it has.
I've got a 2000 (V) S3 with 35k miles and it's developed a terrible noise from the Power Steering pump. The noise is only evident when the pump is working (wheels turned when stationary or moving) and get's worse when the throttle is used at the same time. The resevoir is at Max if the car is left for a period of time before checking. If the car is started and then stopped upon checking the resevoir again it is full of bubbles, much like washing up liquid but green. Has anybody seen this before or any idea where I should start looking for problems? It's booked into Audi on Thursday but I'd like to avoid a dealer visit if possible as I they usually tip me upside down for cash everytime I visit! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Any help would be appreciated.
Jim.
