Got codes 17522 17511 17584,I take it my pre cat sensor has gone. The mpg has definitely gone down also

Might be wiring as you have codes for bank 1 S1 and S2... this is both lambdas... S1 being pre-cat and S2 being post cat...

For that many faults I would be tempted to check the wiring first... clean plugs up etc...

Had any work done on the car recently? what year/engine code A3?

2000 aum
Been getting fault code 16804 every now and again for about 4 months
Work done
N249 delete
Replaced vac pipes
Recirc dump valve forge
Injector seals
Temp sender
Boost pipes & tip
3" down pipe
Same code still came up ,as I had a vac Leak
Changed thermostat as temperature wasn't heating up to required temp,it sorted that
Then got fault code 16804 17522
Cleared these
Now got codes 17522 17511 17584
Both sensors gone ?
Already cleaned contacts with electrical contact cleaner when I changed downpipe over

wideband lambda is around 80-100 quid iirc and post cat is 'cheaper'... have a look on euro car parts...
