Loud ticking noise from Unit behind O/S/F headlamp

Hello Chaps...

I have just recently noticed a ticking noise from the unit behind my O/S/F headlamp, sometimes it quietens down and sometimes it get louder, what is this unit for, I'm presuming its something electrical ?.....Is it supposed to be this loud....?

Yeah the noise can be a bit annoying at times, especially when it goes quiet then louder.

I raised this when the car was last at the dealers and they said it was the charcol filter too. So, nothing to worry about!

This had me worried when I got my S3 last year, as said though it is the charcole filter and is normal.

Yeah, often more noticeable after sitting in slow traffic too.

aye we had this and actually had the car into the garage to have it changed as it seemed overly loud, but sure enough the noise remained....
