Just thought i'd share my latest stealer experience with you. I have a AA warranty on my car that covers virtually everything (especially at MOT time) so i thought where better to get my S3 pulled apart for an MOT than at Wakefield AUDI. I explained that the front passenger seat did not tilt forward (so thought it would fail on this) and also that if anything else needed doing to ring the AA up and get on with the job.
I got a phone call two hours later... "Its failed sir!....on your reg plates being incorrectly spaced" - So the seat is perfectly safe not working correctly but the plates are illegal.
Audi then said that a pair of plates were.... wait for it.... £70.90 plus 30 mins labour if i wanted them fitting (£45!!)
I thought carefully about my answer ! but it consisted of a chuckle and the word no! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif
At least **** Turpin wore a mask!

Also another thing i noted was that I re-set my peak boost on my blitz turbo timer to see how heavy the technicians foot was as he drove it the 1 mile to the test station. The car is chipped so i've peaked it at 1.54 bar, normal driving gives you about 1.2 bar, granny driving less than 1.0.
The peak boost was a record breaking 1.57 bar... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ok.gif Thanks Audi for testing this out for me!! Customer satisfaction!

£70.90 that's great deal!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It was going to be over 30 notes for a couple of wiper blades, you could probably guess my response

Are there any Audi dealers around Yorkshire that are not part of the Sytner Group, like Wakefield and Leeds Audi?

I'm getting stalled of them taking all my hard-earned...

And for giving me the crappy A2 to drive about in when the S3 went in for a service/warranty work. I did ask the bloke if he wanted me to buy another Audi after the S3...

Nice of them to test out the turbo for you!!!!

Rich

I will be using a specialist at junction 41, all my mates take their audis there I could get the details if your interested ??? Ive used Huddersfield audi up to now but wont after its had its 1st mot

Please do recommend an Audi dealer / (Specialist) as I have had experience of poor service from the Wakefield Audi centre. They’re shocking when it come to customer service. I’ve been waiting on several ‘I’ll call you back’s’ from them about numerous things. Even the smallest of tasks seems to be too much for them, such as getting hold of some touch up paint for some minor stone chip’s I’ve got has been impossible.

H3MSY – Being a Wakefield born and bred, where did you go for your S3 chipped? Anywhere close that can do a good job?

As mentioned above i only used the dealer as i thought they would be 'keener'. All they do in reality is cane your car 2 miles to the local mot station.
I have used a VW/Audi Specialist called IVC on Globe Road Leeds (0113 2420875). They fitted me a clutch and flywheel at a fraction of the Audi price and have also serviced my car too. They are Audi accredited so you can use them without it affecting your warranties too.

12bMe, the car was chipped when i bought it and the lad didn't know what kind he'd had put in it. He took it to a garage in Swillington (between Leeds and Garforth) that tune up subarus and the like. I'm thinking of calling in some time soon, I'll let you know what kind it is.

i think the reason why you had a really high peak boot rate was because they have to check the lovely fumes that come out your car and if they are nice enough to pass within their limits.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I don't think they'd manage to get that sort of boost by holding the revs at 5K for two minutes though. It was definitely "Road Tested"

Feck me that's cr@p!

When I bought my S3, I had the certificate for my private plate, but no actual plates. Tyneside Audi made me plates up with GB logo and fitted them for £25 all in. They even got the salesman to drive to the dvla office to re-register it on the new plate (about 15 miles)!

Sounds like your dealer is taking the urine here /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I had a similar experience when i bought my BMW 330Ci Sport... BMW took care of the whole transfer from my trade in car onto the 4 month old BMW i bought and charged me nowt. All i had to do was sign the form...

Audi have a lot to learn from the service BMW customers get... I for one will not be buying another Audi from a main $tealer... Audi are the worst i have ever experienced...

I take it you have never owned a honda then? They were a nightmare, all 3 in my area were clueless and my brand new car eventually had to go to a Toyota dealer to be sorted - can you believe that? It was the usual CTR wheel alignment issues!
