Arm rest won't come down

Hi guys

My S3's armrest is stuck in the 'up' position and it does not budge whatsoever. I've been told the release button may be damaged. Is this a common fault and does anyone know the cheapest and easiest fix? I'd be happy even if I could bring it down and not adjust it again, atleast I could use it this way.


Any help would be hugely appreciated.

One of the little plastic tabs will have probably snapped, follow this guide mate and you'll be sorted.
