Anybody heard of this part being a problem with all VAG diesels?

Went to get my MOT done yesterday and the bloke at the garage told me they are a problem on all VAG diesels!

Yes. MAF sensors are a problem across the whole VAG range. You can get a replacement from VAG for about £75, or you can use a Mercedes MAF which is much cheaper.
