Why is this audi a3 alloy stud diameter not right!

Got some audi a3 15" pepperpot alloys and the stud diameter should be 5x100, i measure mine according to how you are supposed to measure them and the measurement is 102-103mm which don't make sense to me or am i missing something, any help appreciated.

the measurement isn't done straight across, it's done in a radius, so measure sort of around between holes.
