Hi guys.
Iv just had a new sachs clutch and dmf fitted to my tdi 130.

Should i do anything other than normal driving to bed the new clutch in.

Cheers
Rob

You should be fine, take it easy for the first hundred miles. If anything to make sure it's all been put back together properly.

Then nail it :superman:

Haha love it.

The reason i ask, is that im sure i felt it slip in 4th earlier today :(

Hmm, strange.

You might find a bit of motion lotion's gone amiss and there was a little bit of contamination on the friction/pressure plate. As I say, keep an eye on it for a hundred miles and she should be fine. Otherwise just drive it like you stole it and if it goes bang take it back haha!

1st 2nd and 3rd were quick. Went into 4th and it felt like it slipped for some reason. Il just take it steady for a good 100 nails ;)

Meh', it probably was just slow. It is a TDI 130 after all :yahoo:

:D i forgot to add, it's non standard and over 200 bhp. The torque figures are stupid. Slip slipper

I hope you replaced it with a single mass flywheel then?

I'm pretty sure most people will agree with me, I'd have gone for single mass with the torque and power figures.

But ho hum, sounds interesting :)

Iv heard the same. But a guy up here tunes these engines to high spec and uses factory clutches over aftermarket ones. Hes never had issues. Hes in germany currently so hence the reason i need advice from elsewhere regarding bedding in
