    New clutch - Bedding in process?

    Hi guys.
    Iv just had a new sachs clutch and dmf fitted to my tdi 130.

    Should i do anything other than normal driving to bed the new clutch in.

    You should be fine, take it easy for the first hundred miles. If anything to make sure it's all been put back together properly.

    Hmm, strange.

    You might find a bit of motion lotion's gone amiss and there was a little bit of contamination on the friction/pressure plate. As I say, keep an eye on it for a hundred miles and she should be fine. Otherwise just drive it like you stole it and if it goes bang take it back haha!

    1st 2nd and 3rd were quick. Went into 4th and it felt like it slipped for some reason. Il just take it steady for a good 100 nails

    :D i forgot to add, it's non standard and over 200 bhp. The torque figures are stupid. Slip slipper

    I'm pretty sure most people will agree with me, I'd have gone for single mass with the torque and power figures.

    Iv heard the same. But a guy up here tunes these engines to high spec and uses factory clutches over aftermarket ones. Hes never had issues. Hes in germany currently so hence the reason i need advice from elsewhere regarding bedding in

    Just drive it, avoid launching it from a stand still for the first few hundred miles and it all should be good!
