Fan switch or something more?

Hello everyone.. Just a quick post as I'm in Greece til Friday ..

However this problem has been playing on my mind while I have been here and I am eager to find the fault when I am back

The fans on my x reg s3 don't come on.. The car can warm up and even go to the waning light and the fans dont kick in.

Does anyone know how to test the fan switch or where it is or anything else I should test?

The aircon doesn't work either in the car.. Could this be related?

Any help would be great..

Fuse on top of the battery.... I had this issue and then did a write up on a fix in my thread... fuse essentially makes a rubbish contact over time and increases current draw through it... not enough to blow the fuse but enough to heat things up making a poor connection and stopping fans/aircon/afterrun pump from working and worse case catching fire...

Thanks tuffty I just did this fix and everything's now working fine..

Brilliant.. Thanks for this... Now I just have to sort out my new intercooler
