How to get the airshafts out?

Hello, i have 2 questions.

1.) is it possible to change the airshafts (or whatever they are called) for the facelift ones, which have backlit regulators and chrome thingy on the handles?
2.) during winter time, one of the middle ones are somewhat squeaking up to the point, when the car warms up. any ideas?

In all seriousness, I've done a quick google and I can't find anything on doing it.

My girlfriend has a facelift and I have pre facelift and they look the same, I am 90% sure the top roll pad of the dash is the same on both facelift and pre facelift cars. How do you mean the vent is squeeking, surely it's either open or closed? Sure it isn't the fan?
