    induction kit?

Im looking for an induction kit that i could use on its own but also at a later date when i will be looking to upgrade can still keep it. i would like a performance gain and a bit of an engine note.
What would be the best one to get that i could keep later on too?

    waste of time. IMHO.

turbos create alot of heat under the bonnet, even more when mapped and your suck that in.

even with a cold air feed they are not that good,

the standard airbox is actually quite good, even the mtm big turbo on the s3 at 350bhp keeps it.

imo they dont sound that different too, not like on some cars where you get a deep throaty sound.

They do emphasise the recirc valve more though.

If you do wish to go for one then i would suggest the K&N as they are one of the best filters in my experience. I had one on mine and was pleased with it, just disappointed in the lack of induction roar. They sound more 'sucky!' than throaty! When i put the stock airbox back on it did feel ever so slightly more restricted, but not much.

what about a carbon fiber BMC filter with a cold air induction. In summer have an extension to get the filter popping from the front bottom grill. In my opinion I would go for it. But currently I have the standard, hopefully next month I'll buy the filter and let you know how it is.

i got a stainless polished long air pipe to my front bumper, sounds better plus looks better, can understand some people opinion on keepin the standard one, no point unless u want it look different and sound a bit more modded (dont mean max power style tho by that)

also alot harder on the S3 as there is no room. The second intercooler is in the way.

    Re: induction kit?

there are 2 kits i am currently looking at . one is the carbonio which seems to have decent reviews and the other is the bmc wich also seems to have decent reviews. Any more info on either or why one would be better than the other?
