high tickover when cold (amk engine)

when idling at cold, i.e first thing in the morning my car will idle about 1200rpm til i've driven it for a while and let it warm up. is this normal for this engine? i dont remember it doing it when i first bought it, but cant remember

Mine is the same, after 5 minutes, or when the temp gauge goes the quarter reading the idle goes down to 750-800

Mine does this too, presumably just auto choke?

Fast idle is fairly typical on cold start... if the idle was hunting around though this could indicate a problem such as a vacuum leak...
