Headlamp washers sticking out

Hi

I have just noticed that both my headlamp washers have not gone back in properly and are standing out by about half an inch.

I have tried pushing them gently but they're not having it.

I'm wondering if they got ice in them following the recent freeze?

My poor S3 doesn't like the winter :-(

Anyone know how I can get them back where they should be?

they are purely water driven, telescopics, so im guessing you let them thaw out?

maybe there is grit/road salt got stuck in it

Check your fuse, this happened on mine after icy weather and it turned out to be the fuse.

fuse blowing would stop them going out (under water pressure)

but they are spring return shut
