Buying an A3 tdi 110

Hi. We were thinking of buying an Audi A4 to replace our 220,000 mile Audi 80 tdi that we've had for 8 years.
But now we are maybe thinking of an A3.
We'll have about £6000 to spend.
Was there a face lift in 2001, and for £6000 could we get this??
We realy want the tdi with 110 or 130 bhp.
What should we look out for? We really want low-ish milage.

any help and pointers most welcome.

I think you'd be quite lucky to get a 130 for £6k,

I found a couple on autotrader for £7000 but with space miles on them (see link below)

you could always get the 110 and tweak it a bit?

Thanks for the link. We could maybe stretch to £7000. But low milage would be nice. I know 200,000 miles is fine, but 40,000 is better!
There must be a little old lady out there somewhere.....

After a little research I now know we want a face lift 5 door Tdi 130 with air con!
So I'll just have to keep looking on auto traders web site.
