Thats no Moon, Thats a space station!
Well if you read my other thread you may know i was booked in to get my car mapped with Revo Stage 1 software today as they are currently running an offer with a good discount. So i booked my car in to JKM in portsmouth as they are my local Revo dealer and popped down to see them this afternoon.
So got there gave them my keys and they set to work, they took my car for a quick spin and did a little logging and it turned out that my car already had some sort of remap on it. it was as they put it a bit of a tame map as it wasnt requesting loads of boost but defo more than standard. So they said what did i want to do and i said well i would prefer having Revo on the car so please see if you can overwrite the map. It took them about 45mins to get the new map on and take it for another spin to make sure all was good. they gave it the thumbs up and said it was a nice car and was performing really well with the new map on it
So i paid the bill of £298.80 (in VAT) and headed off for a bit of a test drive. My journey out was some roundabouts then duel carriageway and a bit of motorway. The mid range torque is the thing i noticed most as it pulled much harder from 2500rpm in all gears and defo feels alot stronger. Gave it a few beans off the exit of some roundabouts and it held the road well whilst still giving good acceleration in third and fourth. Once on the motorway i stuck it in sixth and it still had good pull and going from 70 - 90 was easy peasy.
So far very happy with the results and defo worth the money it cost.
