Airbox help needed!!

Hi all,

Noobie here who is in the process of de-modding my S3, mad you might say but the previous owner fitted a K&N induction kit which personally I hate!

I picked up a 2002 airbox off the 'bay' and attempted to fit it today.

Encountered a problem, apologies if this is so obvious!!, but I have no idea what pipe goes into the smaller hole in the top part of the airbox?

Any help greatly appreciated guys.

On a plus note I did manage to fit my 007p and powerflex front engine mount

Secondary air injection pump feed... if thats off a 2002 car it not from an S3... SAI wasn't fitted after 2001...
