Hi there,
I am looking for some technical information/ confirmation on a testing procedure from an audi technician or someone similar.
How the intake system should be tested for leaks?
What pressure it should be tested to at max?
What precautions to consider when pressurising the intake system?
Regards Jon

Just asked at work from one of the master techs and basically even at main dealer they wouldnt pressure test the intake system. They just look visually for splits and oil on the joins and so on but he said on standard pipes the max that he said it should be done would be 14psi.

Smoke tester works for this... pressure used is very low and finds all sorts of leaks... had mine tested with the kit Bill uses recently knowing my charge system was air tight and it found a leak where my TIP connects to the turbo...

Its good stuff..
