I'm looking at getting remap very soon! Do I go for one at MRC OR REVO?
Also what plugs should I be using?
And what oil is best?

Another daft question is how do I no what engine I have? I am new to the Audi game so I am learning quickly!

Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob, what year and mileage is your S3?

The engine code is stamped on the lefthand side of the cylinder head

Plugs
BKR6E - Copper core, copper electrode - lasts around 7000miles
BKR7E - Copper core, copper electrode - lasts around 7000miles (one heat range colder - more for stage 2+)
BKR6EIX - Copper core, iridium tipped - lasts around 15000 - 20000miles
BKR7EIX - Copper core, iridium tipped - lasts around 15000 - 20000miles (one heat range colder - more for stage 2+)
PFR6Q - Copper core, platinum tipped - lasts around 20000miles

Gap - 0.8mm
0.7mm mapped

Copper electrode plugs work well just don't last aslong hence why people tend to go for the iridium tipped option

Oil - Quantum 5w40
If you have any service history and the car has ran 5w30 (longlife) then i would recommend flushing it as the longlife services aren't the best for the 1.8t's

As for the remap, both MRC and Revo will put a grin on your face :)
