Oil Strainer advice

I am going to do a new oil strainer change next week, so any advice not shown in the book would be helpful thanks.

Well I did the job today, as said beore pretty straight forward, the strainer was in pretty good condition, there were none of the usual blocked holes, just some loose debris on the surface but I still changed it for a new one, for peace of mind, the only problem I came across was the two inner perimeter bolts at the gearbox end which are in a recess and at an awkward angle.
