i want to upgrade my headlamps but will these fit??

I have a 98 1.8 sport a3. Unsure if these will fit and if i can get any like these??

I'm guessing you have a pre-facelift A3?

If so, they will fit with a little modification.

Remove your headlamp and indicator.
Get a hacksaw and cut away some of the metal which sat behind the indicator, leaving about 1cm (I think).
Put a dab of paint on the bare metal that you have just cut.
Fit new light.

Do a search for fitting facelift lights, someone a while ago (maybe a year ago) posted detailed instruction on how to do this along with pictures.

Ah... hang fire... is that new syle A3 (2002 onwards) lights or old style (up to 2001-2002) facelift lights?

not sure but is there not similar style lights i can get which will fit the motor properly without mods?

Even if you buy facelift headlight from the likes of VAG PARTS, cutting is still required.
