does anyone know the best place to run a power cable through from the engine bay to the amp ?

There is a spare grommetted hole through the bulkhead under the pollen filter. If you remove the glovebox, you can see the other side of it, and thread the cable through it from the engine bay.
You can then take the cable along the existing cable route under the passenger door sill carpet to the rear.
