How cheap have people seen S3s?

I want one but cheap - below £7k if that is possible /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

It has to be straight, (not a cat C or D insurance job) but not bothered about the engine - as that will be getting a 500bhp upgrade /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I doubt you will get one that cheap, unless u find a real bargain, or one with damage that hasn't been declared. they started to make S3's on a 99 T plate, i've just picked up a 1.8 T sport just before xmas which isn't quattro and that was £7250. and that was a good price. you may get some 1.8 T sport quattro for around £8-9K on a 99 plate.

Most people are wanting a running S3 - I'll see if I can pick one up that is not running or has a silly high mileage. Not many people picking up bargains then?
