Recently I've been researching loads of tuners and it seems that the process of tuners without a rolling road is....

1. scan for faults
2. take the car out for a spin and do some logs
3. install the map
4. take it out for another spin and do some more logs.

Does anyone know what they are logging when they take the car out for a spin?

They can log all sorts inclde timing, boost, lambda readings to get teh car set up correctly

maf, knock, boost, afr to name but a few
eg: 002,020,115 - 003,020,118
002 airflow and injector ms
003 airflow and timing
020 timing pull
115 request vs actual boost
118 n75 duty cycle and actual boost

to name but a few

Thanks guys ;)

Is there any links showing what the logs should be ?

I'm thinking it could be a good idea to run these checks on the car anyway.

What's the link for mate (i already have vcds)?

Maybe i should rephrase my question....

If i log for 002 ,003 ,020 ,115 ,118.. If there anything i can compare the results to as i wouldn't have a clue what's good and what's not....lol

I just come across this file (log) i still had on my computer from when i was logging the temps.

Does this tell us anything (apart from me being a pain in the a*s...lol):
