Really in need of help I'm giving up

Yeah MUSH I downloaded vag com and I got the obd 2 cable but can't get it to
Work something about aborted interface
Gonna have it scanned on the snap on solus pro tomorrow to see if theres more codes
But there's a place in haywards Heath that can put it on the rolling road to see what's happening
@ £70 + vat an hr but really don't want a trip down the m23 and blow a piston if it's detonating
Have not much patience with it now thinking of selling it and forgetting
But don't want it to beat me lol
Thanks mate
And everyone trying to help

Hey everybody I just had it scanned and brought up about a 100 codes
Cleared them all and 1 remained
P0321 ENGINE RPM SENSOR -G28
NOT A PLAUSIBLE SIQNAL 16075
Which iv already changed ?????

Could that be the crank sensor and not the camshaft sensor? Or have I missed somthing? Engine RPM and camshaft RPM are different so if it's the 'engine rpm sensor' surely that's the crank one?

The G28 sensor is the crank sensor located under the oil filter. It communicates with the cam sensor on engine speed and position and the likes. When it goes it often caused starting problems. pricey ****** though!

Oh thanks
With the engine doing what it's been doing would that of caused any internal damage do you know
Basically is it worth keeping because I was planning on a remap too
But not if I may have piston damage now ????

Sweet I just got one on fleebay for a rennet new if it solves this
Then I'll defo get a genuine one as I'm not one for pattern parts
Cheers guys

Dam iPhone text (rennet) pmsl
I ment tenner
Since the other codes have been cleared it drives a lot better
So I really think the crankshaft sensor is the cause!
What would be the best way to check the pistons as it been detonating
And I don't know how long for ?

Oh one of the codes was misfire cylinder 4
But hasn't come back

Well If it flagged the g28 on vagcom it definately would have made a difference. Could you give me the link to those cheapie sensors, im just doing a bit of troubleshooting on my own wagon. If it wasnt detonating for too long it should be ok but as a precaution I would get it checked out (or at least keep a keen ear out) as it can cause quite a bit of damage depending on the severity.

Ok thanks
The sensors are on eBay haven't got a link as I done it all from the eBay app
But this is the item number 280713438731

Good find there, might get one. Ive a pissy starting issue thats driving me mad

My a4 had trouble starting it turnt out to be the immobiliza

No its only when the car is left sitting for a while or when warm, so its either a fuel problem, crank sensor or timing issue. Ive replaced everything else it could be!!!
