Is there a how to change the door latch?

Hi

Biggest problem with new A3 is the passenger door keeps opening. I've searched and found that the door latch probably need replacing and refers to taking of the door subframe. It sounds like a big job, I've searched but cannot find any guide or advice on how to do this, is there one?

Hi there

• take door card off
• unplug all wires to door card
• on each corner of the black frame there are 1 or 2 large hex bolts with spacers behind them to line you'r top half of the door up, You need to mark where every thing is before you undo these hex bolts
• undo the hex bolts
• undo cables cables etc and pull it all out .

i will post you a pic of the frame tommorow to show you where everything is as i think ive got one in the garage
Its all pretty straght forward if im honest
