Testing for boost leaks

I would like to know how I can test my engine for boost leaks?

Im aware that some members have fabricated tools to test for leaks, but can I buy these tools from anywhere?? Or would anyone be kind enough to lend/rent some to me??

There are various options, you can get a compressor and do a boost leak that way, alternatively you can do a smoke test.

Your best bet is to take it to take it to a specialist that already has all the tools...or someone locally you know.

Thanks for the advice Nilz, I have been searching the web and there are some guides on how to DIY.
Some interesting methods being used, I think im going to give this way a go;

1, Remove air filter, Maf and plug that hole
2, Remove N75 and plug hole with a tyre valve
3, Use mole grips to close pipe going from hockey puck to tip
4, Connect air compresor to tyre valve and run 20 PSI into system
5, Listen for leaks, and if need be put soapy water round joins to show any leaks.

This sound ok to do, or am I missing anything else?

what i did was get a bolt in tyre valve, drilled hole in a baked bean tin and inserted the tyre valve. insert the the bake bean tin were maf is. remove inlet pipe that goes to throttle body and plug with a bake bean tin. remove dump valve and plug both holes
