losing power!!!

hi guys

when i boost hard over 5000 rpm i get like a loss in power then it picks up again...
in all gears, what can this be??? can hear it from the exhaust like a blowing sound.

can someone please advise, i had change to coil packs and had the head and cam-belt just done since it snapped a month ago... car goes fine thou, can it be the cats??

just had a dv fitted as well, really cant think why thou...

I bet its the dump valve my mate had a faughty one on his nissan 200sx!,swap it and try!

Whats the cars spec? You scanned the car with vagcom or vcds lite?

yes the tip is little damaged...

i repaired with a silicone piece, could it be that?

the dv is brand new thou... and had the prob before.

my idle is little jumpy as well.

never scan as it happen tonight.

its a 2002 audi s3 8l 225bhp

it goes well until it makes a noise and lose power and then kicks in.

It may also be a faulty N75 Valve. I had similar issues when mine went.

Scan for fault codes first.... power loss like that can be boost leak related especially if you say you have an issue with idle... scan for faults and check for split pipes etc... favourites are the ones under the inlet manifold but also make sure all charge pipe hoses are on tight and that the red (more terracotta coloured tbh) turbo to charge pipe hose is not split...
