indicator light stays on but wont flash?

i have a 2001 audi a3 1.8t, i go to use my indicators like normal and the indicator lights up but doesn't flash
but when i do my hazard lights, the bulbs flash like normal

i have searched this but have not found anything.
Has anyone come across this? or know a fix?

Hazzard relay switch. Get it changed. Its part fo the hazzard button.

As minty said, your hazard relay switch is knackered, the one on the dash.

a spray of wd40 fixed mine for a while, did it the second time last week first time lasted more than a year , dont use too much just a little and work it in by using the switch a lot

Same problems as above; the indicator bulbs don't blink on and off when operating them using the stalk however if i use the Hazard switch then they do blink on and off

Is this the hazard switch relay or the indicator stalk at fault. I assumed if they blinked on and off as expected when using the Hazard switch then the Hazard switch relay would be fine?

OK, sounds like the Hazard switch has two relays behind it; one for the indicators and one for the Hazard
