I have owed my S3 for just over 3 weeks now...and have experienced a few teething problems but finally I am getting there and it seems to be running great!!....

So now I am starting to think about what I can add to it ....first aesthetically as the drive and performance are still new too me and I am enjoying it!! Maybe in a few months I will be wanting more power :eyebrows:

I am thinking of spraying my surround on my grill dark grey to match the plastic grill below and sides but leaving the Audi silver? What does everyone think?

And seen as I can't find any OE wing mirrors, shall I spray them silver to match my alloys temporary until I find some?

New number plates?

I have starting cleaning under the bonnet and I am going to start spraying things under there once I decide what colour...

Any other idea's or thoughts are welcome...

My personal opinion would be to lose the window tint.. I cant stand the stuff, However each to their own.
I recently Vinyl'd the chrome ring around the front grill of mine and love it.

You could:

Exterior
Spacers
Lowering springs / Coilovers

Interior
Cruise control
Armrest

Engine
Remap
Jetex
Silicone TIP
Oil catch can fitted by Sandip

I quite like the tints...tbh :p Have you got pics of your grill?

I already have cruise control :rockwoot: would defo look into getting an arm rest are they easy to fit?

haha 'oil catch can fitted by sandip'

It looks better dark grey doesn't it?

What about front splitters?

I think sandips Photoshop looks good.

I reckon the best exterior mod is always to go lower and space the wheels out

Hi Emma, glad to hear your S3 now running as she was designed, I'm sure you will soon be loving the highs of S3 ownership with very few of the lows.

Mod wise, I'd suggest the following:-

Remap
Forge 007P diverter valve as and when your plays up.
N249 delete
DS2500 pads
Polyurathene dogbone bush
Replace the Oil Pickup/or clean out and sludge from the origional one.
Badger5 3 inch TIP
Bilstein B8's or similar dampers as and when yours are shot

Hope this helps

Nige

Leon cupra r splitter is popular, and aero wiper blades and arms look the dogs too

Thank you, forgot to mention things done so far:-

Audi Concert 2 stereo fitted
Audi Dust caps added as I had none

Brakes and Discs all round
New spark plugs & coil packs
Replacing the tyres with Pirelli Pzero tyres as and when needed
Forge Breather hoses
N249 bypass
Oil Flush and new oil
Coolant Flush and fresh G12

Vag com logs before any engine mods me thinks :eyebrows:

Spacers would be an easy one to do, that'll give your S3 chunkier look

What's your mileage Emma? The car's mileage that is!
If it's done more than 60k the original shocks are probably pretty knackered by now... which is a good excuse for Bilstein B8s and some lowering springs (from cheapest to most expensive of the obvious choices - Apex, Eibach, H&R).

Spacers do make a big difference to the look of the car, but if I went back in time i'd protect the edge of the front arches with something like thick transparent tape as my spaced out front wheels and gritty winter roads have sandblasted the paint off! I've got 10mm fronts and 15mm rears from here: BBS Alloy Wheels, (Alloys), Wales, UK, USA, World Wide | pwmotorsport.com - BBS Alloy Wheel and Tyre Specialist | Home.

Leon Cupra R splitter - Seat dealer for about £34 now (inflation!)

Its got 95k on it so I hope is has had new shockers! Maybe need to check....

Everyone has mentioned spacer maybe I can look into this also...

I am defo going to get the front splitter...are they easy to fit how much would I be looking to pay someone to fit it?

dont know how much for fitting, most people fit there own, its not too difficult you only need a hacksaw blade, drill and screws....simples

easy job to fit or pay sandip to fit it.

I might have a go then.

Does anyone think this armrest would fit my car? Does anyone know how they attach?

Armrest AUDI A6 | eBay UK

Nope... needs to be an A3 8L one... and as you have silver leather interior they will be as rare as rocking horse droppings...

<tuffty/>

A plain black leather one might look ok

Me too... creaks a bit when its all the way down (aka where I prefer it) though :(

Sorry to hi-jack this armrest search+fitment guide...but do any of you who have an armrest have the cupholders inside?

Thanks everyone, I defo need an armrest....

Does anyone know the part number for the front splitter so I can order one from seat?
