5/30 fully synthetic

110 TDI, 5/40 Platinum synthetic every 5-6k IMHO.

i got a full 5ltrs of 10/40 diesel oil fully synthetic will that be ok to use ? whats the difference

As it's a 2001 X it should have the 110 TDI non PD engine as far as I know. So as long as the oil meets VW 505.00 then it should be fine. Best to find your engine code and search on google to be sure though.
10/40 fully synthetic is fairly rare, what make is it out of interest?
