my tip has broke off, im losing alot of power, could this cause it???

what are the side effects of this?

i need to get a new one but driving around without a tip, is it safe?

No its not safe, no tip = no filtered or measured air, if something kicks up of the road it could smash the turbo to bits..
It will cause your lack of power
