Charcoal canister removal, vent through catch can?

Hi i am going to be removing the charcoal canister on my bam s3 but was thinking could i vent the fumes into the catch can?

Where has everyone else vented theirs?

as far as im aware, its illeagle to not have it going to the canister unless it wasnt fitted with one standard!
