fwd A3 owners

I've just got myself a OE dog guard for my S3 but its to tall to fit as it should, i think its for fwd A3's only. With the rear seats down is there a step up into the boot or is it flush with the back of the seats? On the S3 there is a step of approx an inch up from the back of the seats when laid flat.

There's no step up on the a3. The S3's and a3 Quattro's have smaller boots.
