replacement sump; original or pattern-part?

Pattern parts ones are fine IMO. I have one sat at home which I must get on and fit.

Go with the link, it looks fine.

Really?

did you source yours from the same place?

Would you replace the 20 bolts round the edge at the same time?

flashy stuff!

£130 also!

The webbed sides look cool!

Did you replace all the bolts??

i don't think you need to replace the bolts... i certainly didn't when i cleaned out the sump and checked the pickup pipe, and it's been fine ever since... just make sure you use a good quality sealant... i used Hylomar Blue when i did mine as i had some left over from another job

ok Thanks for that...

I'll probably start by cleaning out the bolts a couple times in advance...

Got the oil and the filter now. So just to recap;

no-one here is aware of any horrifying problems where they try to refit non-original sumps and the things don't match??

(although as Welly says; it'll be fine)

Dont think so mate. Mine fitted perfectly. I would invest in a can of brake cleaner and a piece of 1500grit+ sandpaper.

Makes cleaning the area of which the contact seal is going to be made a damn sight easier. Just take your time when fitting the new one. Make sure everything is clean. To make the best possible chance of sealing :).

I done mine 1st time and not a drip/leak anywhere!
